JIHAD, JIHADIS, ISLAM AND ISLAMOFACISTS. POISED TO STRIKE AMERICA AGAIN?

It is the day after Memorial Day in America, the day after Americans celebrate and remember those who have died to preserve our freedoms. Yesterday we did not remember those who died on September 11, 2001 or September 11, 2012 or any of those murdered at Fort Hood, Texas or any of those who died in the first World Trade Center bombing. We did not pause to celebrate our freedom from terror or Jihadists or Islamofacists, and for a good reason.

An Excellent Spirit knows that we are neither free from terror, safe from those who practice Jihad or secure that Islamofacists who are here in America today will not again and again rain terror, death and destruction down in American cities on innocent, unsuspecting Americans, men, women and children!

An Excellent Spirit spent Memorial Day in thanksgiving for our freedom, in prayer for those we knew and did not know who died and sacrificed to preserve those freedoms and in prayer for our nation, so horribly under fire and vulnerable due to the policies of those in power, on both sides of the political spectrum!

Last week we read an article by Dr. Mike Brown, our friend and a scholar of no mean credentials, entitled “Is Radical Islam Normal Islam”. It was informative and quite revealing. We will have more to say about that article below.

Today we read two articles on PJ Media and PJ Tatler that really opened a can of terror and Jihad on America and soon! The first, by Spengler at PJ Media entitled “Contrary to Obama, the Terror War Has Barely Begun”, is an eye opener. Spengler is the nom de plum of David P. Goldman, an unabashed believer in American Exceptionalism and its value to the world. The article makes some ominous predictions: “The collapse of Middle Eastern states from Libya to Afghanistan vastly increases the terrorist recruitment pool, while severely restricting the ability of American intelligence services to monitor and interdict the terrorists. In addition, it intensifies the despair that motivates Muslims like the Tsarnaev brothers or Michael Adebolajo to perpetrate acts of terrorism. That makes President Obama’s declaration that America is winding down the “war on terror”–a misnomer to begin with–the worst decision by an American commander-in-chief since the Buchanan administration, perhaps ever.” As true and bad as that statement is, what follows is worse: “Syria’s crack-up is at the top of the agenda, but the breakdown of putative nation-states extends across nearly all of the Muslim world. As Amos Harel reported in the Tablet symposium, the prime minister of Libya “has to cross checkpoints manned by five different militias, on his way home from office.”  In place of regular armies controlled by dictators, Libya is crisscrossed by ethnic and sectarian militias (including the one that murdered our ambassador last September). Egypt is on the brink of economic collapse and state failure; Iraq is in the midst of a low-intensity sectarian war; Syria’s civil war already is being fought out in Lebanon; and Turkey’s border has become unstable.”

What does this all mean? Spengler gives his conclusions: “The result is an enormous increase in the number of prospective terrorists and a drastic reduction in our capacity to control them. The motivation for terrorism has increased correspondingly. Radicalized Muslims must now contemplate the ruin of their civilization from Tripoli to Kabul. Millions of Syrians are displaced and have no homes to go back to. Millions of Egyptians are hungry. Not only the suffering, but the humiliation of the national ruin of Egypt and Syria leave radical Muslims with little to hope for. The motivation to take as much of the world down with them has mushroomed in the context of state failure.” But wait! There is more: “It is not simply a matter of non-state actors running out of control. The remaining states, prominently Iran, have seized the opportunity to increase their ability to use terror on a grand scale. Iran’s open attempt to turn Syria into a Persian satrapy–through Hezbollah as well as the infiltration of tens of thousands of Iranian fighters–is intended to gain control of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal and to turn Syria into a weapons platform from which to attack Israel. The scattering of Middle Eastern arsenals (starting with Qaddafi’s shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles), meanwhile, provides terrorists with a quality of weaponry they never before possessed. There simply is no historic precedent for this deadly mixture of state and civil breakdown. American policy has piled blunder atop blunder.”

AMERICA NEEDS ACTION, MR. PRESIDENT. NOT MERE WORDS AND LIP SERVICE! TO PREVENT TERRORIST ATTACKS, OUR GOVERNMENT MUST ACT! NOW!

Thus, Americans should not be shocked to learn that our security from Jihadist attacks in our homeland or on our foreign missions and facilities can no longer be expected. There are far too many bad actors out there and we have too few resources with which to combat them. The Benghazi debacle was not even a good example of what to expect, as we were engaged in activity in Benghazi that led to the incident. No, what is likely to come will be the result of Obama Administration policies that are nowhere near likely to secure our safety at home or abroad. Whether is in Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq or the terrorist states like Iran, the vast number of recruits the Islamist Jihadists have coupled with their hatred of
“The Great Satan” almost surely will result in a significant uptick in actual lethal and bloody attacks. And soon.

A vast number of young men have been drawn into irregular combat. Syria has become the cockpit of a Sunni-Shi’ite war, with Turkey and the Gulf states funneling money and jihadists into Syria while Iran sends Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah irregulars to the aid of the Assad regime. The young men of Libya already are mobilized into militias; Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood cells and Salafists and football mobs are not yet armed, but are organized. Iraq’s sectarians are armed to the teeth, in part thanks to American funding of the “Sunni Awakening” during the 2007-2008 surge. Very large numbers of young men are ready to fight to the death, while the breakup of the fragile civilian society of these countries draws more and more of them into the maelstrom. Terrorism has become a way of life in Syria, where both sides instigate atrocities, in part to intimidate their opponents and in part to bind their own fighters to the cause by making them complicit in such crimes.

The next, even more important and ominous piece is this PJ Tatler story by Raymond Ibrahim, entitled “The Calm Before The Jihadi Storm” is even more ominous and compelling. Ibrahim, a Middle East and Islamic expert with the David Horowitz Freedom Center and Associate Fellow at the Middle East Forum gives the West and America specific warnings about what he says is coming soon and what can no longer be prevented: Jihad! It’s important to remember that the very same U.S. policies that created al-Qaeda in Afghanistan in the 1980s—leading to the horrific attacks of 9/11—are today allowing al-Qaeda to metastasize all around the Muslim world.  As in the 80s, these new terrorist cells are quietly gathering strength now, and are sure to deliver future terror strikes that will make 9/11 seem like child’s play.”

After examining the US history of arming, empowering and sustaining the Jihadis that struck on September 11, 2001, Ibrahim says, “But if Reagan helped create the first al-Qaeda cell in relatively unimportant Afghanistan, Obama is helping to create numerous, more emboldened, al-Qaeda cells in some of the most important Islamic nations. He is doing this by helping get rid of Arab autocrats who were effective at suppressing jihadis (even if for selfish reasons), while empowering some of the most radical jihadis who were formerly imprisoned or in hiding. And all in the name of the “Arab Spring” and “democracy.” In Egypt, Obama threw Mubarak, America’s chief Mideast ally for three decades, under the bus, and cozied up to the Muslim Brotherhood.  Egypt’s government is today overrun with Islamists, many who share al-Qaeda’s radical worldview.  Several of these new policymakers—including President Morsi himself—were imprisoned under Mubarak, not, as the Western media portray, because they were freedom-loving rebels, but because they were, and are, Sharia-loving radicals trying to transform Egypt into an Islamist state. The Sinai alone is now infested with jihadis, including possibly al-Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri. In Libya, Obama supported the opposition against Gaddafi—knowing full well that al-Qaeda was among them—enabling the Benghazi attack and murder of Americans on the anniversary of 9/11.  The unprecedented persecution of Christians in Libya—from attacks on churches to attacks on nuns—is further indicative of the direction “liberated” Libya is taking.”

Ibrahim continues, ominously and prophetically, “And now in Syria, Obama is, once again, supporting foreign jihadis, who make up 95% of Syria’s so-called “opposition.”  As in Libya—and as in Afghanistan in the 80s—foreign jihadis are flooding Syria and terrorizing non-Muslims (a recent fatwa permits the raping of non-Sunni women), in their bid to create another base, another qaeda. One of them recently declared, “When we finish with Assad, we will fight the U.S.!”—precisely al-Qaeda’s thinking in the 80s-90s when it was supported by the U.S. against the U.S.S.R.

The writing is on the wall, America! We will again suffer terrorists attacks in American cities! Americans will die and the Obama Administration is complicit and responsible as no other Administration in US History! Ibrahim concludes: “Thus all the forces and circumstances that led up to the strikes of 9/11—foreign jihadis infiltrating and consolidating power in Muslim countries formerly run by secular dictators—are once again in full play, but in a much more profound way.  Today it’s not just one relatively unimportant country, Afghanistan, that is being subverted by jihadis but several strategically important nations.” He then asks the 16 trillion dollar question: “So why are American politicians not blowing the whistle on Obama’s suicidal policies?  Because their myopia and inability to see beyond today—beyond their tenure—has not changed since September 11, 2001.  Just as it took over a decade after al-Qaeda’s creation to launch the 9/11 attacks—a time of ostensible peace and calm for the U.S., a time of planning and training for the jihadis—it will take time for the new jihadi storm to pour on America. And that’s the era we’re currently in: the calm before the storm.  Just as before 9/11, today’s American leaders focus only on the moment—a moment when the U.S appears relatively safe—never considering the future or the inevitable consequences of a woefully counterproductive U.S. foreign policy.

Speaking of foreign policy, if Reagan supported the jihadis to combat the U.S.S.R—a hostile super-power—why is Obama supporting the jihadis?  What exactly does America have to gain? At any rate, just as it was before 9/11, when the jihadi storm eventually does break out—and it will, it’s a matter of time—those American politicians who helped empower it, chief among them Obama, will be long gone, and the talking heads will again be stupidly asking “What happened?” “Who knew?” Why do they hate us?” Read the whole article.

THE LEGENDARY DR. MIKE BROWN. SCHOLAR, AUTHOR, RADIO TALK HOST AND FRIEND!

For some answers to the questions posed above, we turn to Dr. Mike Brown. Dr. Brown, a good friend and a Jewish scholar is no stranger to the forces of evil in this world. He is a Townhall columnist and has a daily radio call in show, “In The Line Of Fire”. His latest article for Townhall was, as usual, prescient and right on target. Entitled “Is Radical Islam Normative?”, the article answers some of Ibrahim’s questions. “Writing from Australia, CultureWatch commentator Bill Muehlenberg asked, “So how many more 9/11’s do we need before we wake up? How many more Bali bombings? How many more attempted beheadings like in London today [namely, May 23rd]? When will we wake up and realise that Islam is in fact a political ideology which has always been spread by the edge of the sword? When will we believe the words of Muhammad? When will we believe the Koran? When will we believe the hadith? When will we take them at their word when they tell us they intend to kill us? When will we understand that they want to see the entire world under submission to Islam and sharia law?” Dr. Brown’s article continues,

“So, who is speaking for normative Islam, or, more precisely, what is normative Islam? No one would argue that there are multiplied millions of Muslims, perhaps several hundred million Muslims, who are peace loving, who abhor violence in the name of Islam, and who are repulsed by the actions of the Boston Marathon bombers or the London machete murderers. The question is whether these Muslims are being true to the core values of their religion. Looking at this from a Christian perspective, while we might engage in a war with the Taliban in Afghanistan, this is not a holy war for us but a military campaign, even if Christian soldiers in the military feel they are doing God’s work in protecting America and rooting out terrorism. But no one – or at least, hardly anyone with a working brain – is thinking that it is our Christian duty to kill Muslims or that by decimating the Taliban we are advancing the gospel. (We can safely ignore the ridiculous claims of Mikey Weinstein here.) Even the exceptions to the rule, like Fred Phelps of the notorious (and tiny) Westboro Baptist Church, are not advocating murdering Muslims (or other Christians or Americans in general), and they are completely repudiated by virtually every recognized Christian group in the land.”

Then Dr. Brown gets down to the core: “Yet this universal repudiation of Islamic terror is never to be found in Muslim circles for at least two reasons: 1) Muslim leaders do not universally repudiate these acts, since many consider this to be a valid expression of jihad. 2) In many cases, those Muslims who want to speak out will not for fear of their lives. As an anonymous (!), atheist Pakistani blogger writes, “I have ideas and opinions that are unconventional, as far as most Pakistanis are concerned. I’m not the only one who thinks differently, but the systematic silencing of our nation’s free-thinkers, has reduced the non-religious and liberal population to a small, scattered class of individuals.” This reminds me of Muslim protesters in England a few years back who basically said, “How dare you call us terrorists! We will kill you!”

Then, like Déjà vu all over again, Dr. Brown notes: “But there’s something far weightier to consider as we look at the severe Islamic persecution of Christians in countries like Iraq and Egypt and Syria and northern Nigeria. The fact is that this has happened before, and it took place during the so-called Golden Age of Islam. Church historian John Phillip Jenkins tells the story in his important book The Lost History of Christianity. “As late as the eleventh century,” he writes, “Asia was still home to at least a third of the world’s Christians, and perhaps a tenth of all Christians still lived in Africa—a figure that the continent would not reach again until the 1960s. Even in 1250, it still made sense to think of a Christian world stretching east from Constantinople to Samarkand (at least) and south from Alexandria to the desert of the Ogaden, almost to the equator.” What happened to this thriving, intellectually vibrant Christianity? Jenkins explains, “And yet this older Christian world perished, destroyed so comprehensively that its memory is forgotten by all except academic specialists.” It was virtually wiped out by violent Islamic persecution, “especially during the fourteenth century, [when] church hierarchies were destroyed, priests and monks were killed, enslaved, or expelled, and monasteries and cathedrals fell silent. As church institutions fell, so Christian communities shrank, the result of persecution or ethnic and religious cleansing.”

Mike Brown concludes that, “Perhaps radical Islam is more normative than many of us would like to believe. At the very least, Islam has a potentially violent core that is deeply associated with its fundamental principles of faith.”

It is a long slog through all this, America. Reading the three articles take time and effort, thought and prayer! The question is, will you and I take or make the time or will we create the climate for the violent, centuries old history of Jihad and Islamofacists to repeat itself. Edmund Burke is celebrated for having said All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”  We who know the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the ONE GOD, Jehovah know that God did not give His people a spirit of fear. We do not fear terror. We have been given a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind by God! (See 2 Timothy 1:7) Nevertheless, we cannot stick our collective or individual heads in the sand and deny what is so clearly threatening our way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must do something, even if our government and our President and his administration does nothing or worse, colludes with and plays nice with our enemies. What say you, America?

The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt and the Caliphate

Hassan-al-Banna Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood

An Excellent Spirit has brought our readers much about the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, in the United States government (the State Department and even the White House) and we have made several mentions of the Muslim Brotherhood’s ultimate goal of establishing a Caliphate to rule the entire world, beginning with the Middle East. Here,  here  and here. We have also reported on Andrew McCarthy, former US Prosecutor of the first World Trade Center bombing and an expert on Islamofacists. Here McCarthy is a veteran prosecutor and a brilliant follower of Islamofacism. As a prosecutor, McCarthy learned first hand of the threat and imminent danger that the Muslim Brotherhood poses to the West. This article in Accuracy in Media (It also ran in National Review Online) is instructive. McCarthy pulls no punches, “As Egypt under the heel of Mohamed Morsi unravels, here’s the late-breaking news: The Muslim Brotherhood is the enemy of democracy. This has always been obvious to anyone who took the time to look into it. Nevertheless, it has not been an easy point to make lo these many years. Even as the Justice Department proved beyond any doubt in court that the Brotherhood’s major goal in America and Europe – its self-professed “grand jihad” – is ‘eliminating and destroying Western civilization,” to have the temerity to point this out is to be smeared as an “Islamophobe.” That’s the Islamophilic Left’s code for “racist.’”

The Brotherhood is the successor to Egyptian hegonomy dating back to Cleopatra and Rome. While Western peoples are all too unfamiliar with The Caliphate, Muslims around the world know of it and all Muslims expect Mohammed to establish a world wide, world ruling Caliphate. To be ignorant of this core belief is to be foolish and vulnerable to defeat. Wikipedia gives a us good introduction to the Caliphate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caliphate “A caliphate (from the Arabic خلافة or khilāfa, Turkish: Hilafet) is a Muslim spiritual community led by a supreme religious (and even political) leader known as a caliph (meaning literally a successor, i.e. a successor to the prophet Mohammad). The term caliphate is often applied to successions of Muslim empires that have existed in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Conceptually the caliphate represents the political unity of the entire community of Muslim faithful (the ummah) ruled by a single caliph. In theory, the organization of a caliphate should be a constitutional republic (the Constitution being the Constitution of Medina), which means that the head of state, the Caliph, and other officials are representatives of the people and of Islam and must govern according to constitutional and religious law, or Sharia. In its early days, the first caliphate resembled elements of direct democracy (see shura) and an elective monarchy. It was initially led by Muhammad‘s disciples as a continuation of the leaders and religious system the prophet established, known as the ‘Rashidun caliphates’. A “caliphate” is also a state which implements such a governmental system.”

There is much dispute within the factions of Shia and Sunni Muslims as well as adherents of diverse national and pan national Islamic groups, but the one thing they all agree on it the Caliphate. “Prophethood will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain, then Allah will raise it up wherever he wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood remaining with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, He will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a reign of violently oppressive rule and it will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, there will be a reign of tyrannical rule and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, Allah will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Then, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood.” — As-Silsilah As-Sahihah, vol. 1, no. 5

Egypt’s Gamal Nasser – Founder of United Arab Republic

In the 1950s, Gammal Nasser became President of Egypt. Nasser, “a colonel in the Egyptian army, Nasser led the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 along with Muhammad Naguib, the first president, which overthrew the monarchy of Egypt and Sudan, and heralded a new period of modernization, and socialist reform in Egypt together with a profound advancement of pan-Arab nationalism, including a short-lived union with Syria.” Here  “Nasser is seen as one of the most important political figures in both modern Arab history and politics in the 20th century. Under his leadership, Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal Company and came to play a central role in anti-imperialist efforts in the Arab World and Africa. The imposed ending to the Suez Crisis made him a hero throughout the Arab world. He was also instrumental in the establishment of the international Non-Aligned Movement. He is well known for his nationalist policies and version of pan-Arabism, also referred to as Nasserism, which won a great following in the Arab World during the 1950s and 1960s.” In 1958, Nasser led Egypt to form the United Arab Republic with Syria. While this new pan Arabic organization was in reality a response to the burgeoning Communist inroads in Syria and never spread, it has become another stepping stone on the road to Caliphate. Egypt, now the exclusive property of the Muslim Brotherhood, is perhaps the key to establishing the Caliphate. Situated on both the Mediterranian Sea and the Red Sea, it has ports, access to trade routes and is the lynchpin of the Arabic world, connecting Africa, Europe and Asia. One look at a map of the Middle East and Egypt is enough to visually confirm the Brotherhood’s dominance of this key country.

Egypt on Mediterranian and Red Sea

McCarthy continues his analysis of the Brotherhood, “Nor is it just the Left. Like the transnational progressives who hold sway in Democratic circles, many of the neoconservative thinkers who have captured Republican foreign-policy making encourage “outreach” to “moderate Islamists” – a ludicrously self-contradictory term. The idea is to collaborate in the construction of “Islamic democracies.” That’s another nonsensical term – to borrow Michael Rubin’s quote of a moderate Muslim academic piqued by the encroachments of Turkey’s ruling Islamists, “We are a democracy. Islam has nothing to do with it.” That is clearly right. Yet, to argue the chimerical folly of the sharia-democracy experiment is to be demagogued as an “isolationist.” It is as if the Right can no longer fathom an engaged foreign policy that concentrates solely on vital U.S. interests and treats America’s enemies as, well, enemies. Of course, it is neither Islamophobic nor isolationist to observe that Islamic supremacism is derived from literal Muslim scripture; that it is a mainstream interpretation of Islam whose adherents, far from being limited to a “violent extremist” fringe, number in the hundreds of millions and include many of Islam’s most influential thinkers and institutions. These are simply facts. Nor is it Islamophobic or isolationist to contend that any sensible engagement with Islamic supremacists – very much including the Muslim Brotherhood – ought to be aimed at their marginalization and defeat, not their cultivation and empowerment. This is not a popular view; opinions amply supported by unpleasant facts are rarely popular. But following it would strengthen pro-Western Muslims while promoting an American global engagement that is essential, effective, and affordable. That is the very antithesis of Islamophobia and isolationism.”

The essence, then of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Caliphate goal, the centrality of Egypt to that goal and the increasing tendency of the West and the United States in particular to act as if that were pure fantasy, all create an environment that is most conducive to the Brotherhood’s success and Islamofacists domination of the world. And that is not many decades away. The way things are progressing in the Middle East and the increasing Islamization of the US, point to rapid unfolding of these events. McCarthy agrees. “The central contention here has been that the Muslim Brotherhood is an innately, incorrigibly Islamic-supremacist outfit. Wherever it establishes a presence, it seeks – as gradually as indigenous conditions require, and as rapidly as they allow – to implement its repressive construction of sharia. Wherever it gets the opportunity to rule, it uses its power to impose this sharia, despite resistance from the society’s non-Islamist factions. This is not a mere theory. Egypt, the world’s most important Arab country, is violently convulsing before our eyes in direct reaction to the suffocation that is Islamist rule. So, will we finally take the lesson? Will we finally come to understand why democracy and Islamic supremacism cannot coexist? Western democracy has Judeo-Christian underpinnings. At its core is the equal dignity of every person. This sacred commitment, ironically, enables our bedrock secular guarantee: freedom of conscience. It is anathema to the Brotherhood. As their guiding jurist, Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, teaches: “Secularism can never enjoy general acceptance in an Islamic society.” This is because “the acceptance of secularism means abandonment of sharia.” Now, maybe you doubt this. Maybe you think “Islamic democracy” enthusiasts like Hillary Clinton, edified by her trusty aide Huma Abedin, know more about sharia than Sheikh Qaradawi does. But let’s just say I doubt it – and I am quite certain that the ummah would laugh, and then probably riot, at such a suggestion. The Brothers really do believe what they say. They especially believe what Qaradawi says.” Emphasis ours.

Despite all these signals, facts and the reality of Egypt’s new militant Middle East stance toward Israel, with whom it has a treaty it no longer wishes to honor, “Obama officials tirelessly portray the Brotherhood as a normal, “largely secular” organization. Other Western progressives nod their heads in unison. Even with Egypt aflame over Morsi’s aggressive constitution gambit – the fulfillment of his campaign promise of a constitution that would reflect “the sharia, then the sharia, and finally the sharia” – New York Times Cairo bureau chief David Kirkpatrick assures Hugh Hewitt’s listeners that the Brotherhood is a “moderate, regular old political force” that “just want[s] to win elections.” The Brothers, you are to conclude, are just an Islamic analogue to Europe’s Christian Democrats.”  Talk about Cool Ade! God’s Word says that “as a man thinks, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7). It is no stretch to see that as a nation thinks and acts, so are they. The United States does not treat the Brotherhood, Islamofascists or other hot spots as if they are any kind of threat to America. McCarthy says, “This is worse than lunacy. It is the most irresponsible brand of willful blindness. Mr. Kirkpatrick, in fact, amplifies his see-no-sharia analysis with a whopper: You oughtn’t render harsh judgments about the Brothers’ intentions because, “you know, you don’t know what their ultimate vision of . . . the good life looks like.” Actually, they could not have made themselves clearer on that subject. Perhaps you’ve heard: “Allah is our objective, the Prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, jihad is our way, and dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” Islam, in this ultimate vision, cannot tolerate secular democracy because sharia – the “Koran is our law” part of the equation – will not abide it. Sharia, Qaradawi elaborates, is a “comprehensive system” of “legislation” derived directly from “Allah’s injunctions.” Our notion of secularism, in which sovereignty belongs to the people, is for Qaradawi a “denial of the divine guidance.” Imposition of the divine guidance is the Brotherhood’s raison d’être. As explained after Mubarak’s fall by Khairat al-Shater, the Brothers’ strategic leader and Morsi’s patron, “to subjugate people to God on earth” – “to organize our life and the lives of the people on the basis of Islam” – is “our main and overall mission as Muslim Brothers.”

Egypt is central to all of this and to the Caliphate. America should act as if it understands this, but we do not. “The draft constitution the Brothers are currently trying to force on Egyptians elucidates their idea of the “basis of Islam” to which people must be subjugated. The Hudson Institute’s Samuel Tadros expertly analyzed it this week on the Corner. The Brothers make the “principles of sharia” the cornerstone of law; squelch authentic moderate reformers by stipulating that “principles” are limited to the four established Sunni jurisprudential schools (which consider all questions to have been settled by the tenth century); and vest in the fundamentalist scholars of ancient al-Azhar University a dispositive role in interpreting sharia – similar to the mullahs of Shiite Iran.”

McCarthy has done his homework, “ There is more. The new constitution tellingly strikes the old constitution’s reference to “citizenship” – a term that implied equality between Muslims and non-Muslims – as the basis for Egypt’s political order. It empowers the Islamist state to “entrench . . . moral values” in society by enforcing the Islamist ideal of “family values.” It denies freedom of conscience by refusing many religious minorities the right to worship. Although Christianity is not outlawed, the finances of Christian churches are placed under government control – enabling the creation of a Communist-style national church, subject to Islamist domination. It denies freedom of expression by adopting sharia’s repressive blasphemy laws, under which any criticism of Islam is brutally punished. It deletes the former constitution’s express guarantee of equality for women “in the fields of political, social, cultural, and economic life.”

The United States of America was never intended to become the United Arab States or anything like it. Thomas Jefferson fought the Arabs at Tripoli when he was President, recognizing the threat they posed to us and to the world at that time. It is over 200 years later and the only thing that has changed is the Arabs have become stronger, wealthier, equipped with nuclear capabilities and we are in the process of accommodating them because we choose not to engage or recognize the threat. McCarthy has it right when he says, “Phony “teachable moments” abound in the era of Obama moralizing, but this one is worth our attention: Egypt is the Brotherhood unleashed. This week’s despotic bloodletting is the natural, logical, entirely predictable end of the Brotherhood’s machinations – not just in Egypt but everyplace the Brothers operate. That includes the United States, where our government takes their counsel, invites them to shape our national-security policy, and gives them a veto over the content of materials used to train our law-enforcement, military, and intelligence agents. It is long past time to realize that this is not a game. The Brothers are playing for keeps.” Emphasis ours.

An Excellent Spirit has brought our readers this report to equip them with knowledge. Knowledge is the stuff out of which comes understanding. Prayer about knowledge, hearing God and knowing His Word make knowledge into understanding. That is wisdom. God’s word tells Believers to “get understanding and wisdom”. Proverbs 4 says it all:

“Hear, My children, the instruction of a Father,
and give attention to know understanding; for I give you good doctrine:
do not forsake My law. When I was my father’s son,
tender and the only one in the sight of my mother, He also taught me, and said to me:
“Let your heart retain My words;
keep My commands, and live. Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of My mouth.  Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing;
therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
A crown of glory she will deliver to you.”

An Excellent Spirit says that it is time we in the United States, especially those of us who know God and His Word, get some wisdom. It is up to those who know the Word of God to at least speak out and influence our policies. If we do, we will continue to live in peace and freedom. Should we continue to do less, our grandchildren or our great grandchildren will live under sharia as subjects of the Muslim Caliphate. You will be able to take that to the bank, if banks are halal under the Caliphate. Stay tuned.

Middle East Update – Egyptian Dictator Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood

An Excellent Spirit’s friend and source of all things Middle Eastern, Barry Rubin of The Rubin Report has penned this story on Egyptian President Mursi (American lamestream media call him “Morsi” but Middle Easterners, who know him well, spell it “Mursi”). The article was also posted in PJ Media, another source that gets it right most of the time.  “What’s been happening in Egypt this week is as important as the revolution that overthrew the old regime almost two years ago. A new dictator has arrived and while the Muslim Brotherhood’s overturning of democracy was totally predictable, Western policymakers walked right into the trap. They even helped build it. President Mursi has now declared his ability to rule by decree. The key concept is that he can do everything to protect the revolution. In doing so, he is defining the revolution — as the Iranian revolution of 1978-1979 which was made by a broad coalition of forces soon after became defined — as an Islamist revolution. One could call the Islamist strategy a short march through the institutions. Once Islamists take power — in Iran, the Gaza Strip, and Turkey, perhaps too in Syria — that is only the beginning of the story. They systematically do a fundamental transformation.” All Emphasis ours.

As Barry Rubin points out, the Islamist template, beginning with Iran in 1979 and continuing with Egypt in 2012 is to pull out everything they do not like and start from scratch. “The media, or at least a large part of it, is tamed. The draft constitution written by the Brotherhood and Salafists allows the government to shut down any newspaper or television station by decree. The courts are made impotent and judges replaced. Mursi’s decree said he could ignore any court decision. At a November 18 press conference, a few days before Mursi issued his decree, the leading secular-oriented representatives in the constitution-writing constituent assembly resigned, charging the new document would enshrine Sharia law. The problem was not the statement in Article 2 about Sharia being the main source of Egyptian legislation but rather later provisions making it clear that Islamist-controlled institutions would interpret precisely what that meant. Amr Moussa, former foreign minister and Arab League secretary-general, said the new constitution would bring disaster for Egypt. Abdel Meguid called this combination “Taliban-like.”

Egypt has always seen itself as the central part of the Islamic Caliphate, and while Turkey, Iran and many others lay claim to that centrality, today, only Egypt is able to take action to position Egypt as the starting point of Muslim world domination. Rubin continues, “Of critical importance for Egypt is control over the religious infrastructure: the ministry of Waqf that supervises huge amounts of money in Islamic foundations; the office of qadi, the chief Islamist jurist; al-Azhar University, the most important institution defining Islam in the Muslim world; which clerics get to go on television or have their own shoes; and down to appointments of preachers in every public mosque in the country. Many clerics are not moderate but most are not systematic Islamists. Soon they will be or at least talk as if they were. Revolutionary Islamism will become in Egypt merely normative Islam. Thus is the endless debate in the West about the nature of Islam — religion of peace or religion of terrorism? — short-circuited and made even more irrelevant. The real power is not what the texts say but who interprets them. And the Islamists will do the interpreting. Until some years from now, that is, when the Caliphate is fully established as the only power in the Middle East and the greatest power in the world! That is the plan and it will follow the template until fully implemented. But God!

Historically, Rubin relatesUnder the leadership of a secret society called the Free Officers, Egypt’s army overturned the monarchy in 1952 in a virtually bloodless coup. Yet while Egypt was for decades thereafter ruled by the resulting regime, the military government soon became a military-backed government. Officers either moved over to civilian offices or if they opposed the regime were purged. Aside from doing its professional duties, the new generation of officers turned to money-making. The Egyptian army became a vast economic enterprise, with its own farms, factories, and housing estates. It was not a political interest group, and certainly not an ideological organization, but an economic enterprise. During the more recent revolution, the army’s main concern was its own corporate interests — especially control over the military budget, the choice of its leaders, and those business activities. Over and over again the Western mass media and governments spoke as if they were dealing with a South American army that wanted to rule the country. It was portrayed as repressive and potentially tyrannical. By definition, all civilians — especially the Muslim Brotherhood — were good guys against the supposed military would-be dictators.” Remember our quote about the devil convincing “us” that he does not exist? “This was far from the truth. The military was eager to get out of power as long as its narrow interests were preserved. One of its biggest fears was becoming unpopular. That’s why it didn’t crack down in 2011 on behalf of the Mubarak regime and didn’t do so very much when it was in the transitional military council. To put it bluntly, the army wasn’t the bad guys but, relatively speaking, among the good guys.

Professor Rubin reveals the almost total capitulation of the generals to the Brotherhood. “Now, however, that moment is past. Partly under international pressure, it gave power to an elected president without securing a single one of its demands. So much for the tyrannical generals. Scores of top officers resigned and they are now being replaced by the choices of one man, the president. Who is Mursi going to appoint to head the new Egyptian army? Given the lack of Islamist sympathizers at the top — there is much debate over how many there are among more junior officers — he needs to put in place opportunists. These would be men who in exchange for their rank and privileges will do his bidding. That is what’s happening now; the Islamist high command should come later. Lacking any ideological orientation against revolutionary Islamism; without charismatic leadership, not at all united, and in a sense fat and greedy, without any foreign encouragement, and not wanting to shoot down its own people and set off a civil war, the Egyptian army is not a bulwark against the country becoming an Islamist dictatorship. If the Islamists could overcome a far more coherent and ideologically anti-Islamist military in Turkey so easily, there’s no reason to think a similar process won’t happen in Egypt, too. What are the red lines for the army? First and foremost, that nobody touch their economic empire and cuts their budget. Mursi isn’t stupid enough to get into trouble on that issue. Second, those who attack the military with guns must be dealt with harshly. Mursi is willing to crack down on those extremely radical Salafist groups — notably in the Sinai — who shoot Egyptian soldiers rather than just restricting themselves to attacks on Israel. Third, the preservation of U.S. military aid. No worries there; it would take a lot for the Obama Administration to cut off this assistance. The regime can go far toward suppressing women and Christians, making clear it is helping the forces seeking to wipe Israel off the map, subvert other Arabic-speaking countries, and setting up a dictatorship without having to worry about losing the aid. Finally, will the Egyptian military constantly refuse to take steps that might entangle it in a war with Israel? Here is the most likely hope of restraint though Mursi isn’t eager for such a direct conflict either. The danger, however, is not so much an executive decision to go to war but a slow slide into conflict. Along the way, Egypt can be permissive toward those staging cross-border attacks on Israel; allow Egyptian volunteers in large numbers to go to the Gaza Strip to fight; and allow lots of weapons in the Gaza Strip. Small-scale border clashes or a future Israel-Hamas war could move things in that direction. For the time being, however, as indicated by the ceasefire, Egypt’s new regime doesn’t want a conflict either. Consolidating its power within the country and creating a new order that will last for decades is a big task. All the institutions must be transformed, a constitution finalized and adopted, billions of dollars of foreign aid begged, oppositions tamed. As an indication, the radical nationalist regime in the 1950s spent three years at that task before turning toward an attempt to dominate the region. Patience and practical sense of how to proceed to accomplish radical objectives should not be mistaken for moderation. The Middle East will still be there to Islamize, Israel to destroy, and American influence to eliminate when Mursi is ready.”

In today’s Egypt, while “the judges are still holding out bravely only the army has real power to counter the Islamist revolution transforming the most important country in the Arabic-speaking world into the instrument of the leading international anti-Western, anti-American, and antisemitic organization. It doesn’t matter how nicely Mursi spoke to Obama any more than say how Lenin — who moderated Soviet policy in the 1920s to consolidate the regime and get Western help — did in his day.” Rubin questions “What is going on inside Egypt’s army, the last remaining institution that could offer resistance? We don’t really know but there are certainly some important indications. In theory, the army is the only force that can challenge the Muslim Brotherhood’s drive to transform Egypt into an Islamist state. But why should we believe the officers want to engage in such a battle?”

Muslim Brotherhood on Middle East TV: We will rule the world!

An Excellent Spirit has written about the Muslim Brotherhood and its overreaching influence in the Obama Administration, the US State Department and the White House itself. Here. Despite all that we have written about what is at stake and how the US is handling it, the fact of the matter is that the US position or activity has little to do with the over all goals and actions of Islamists who have but one thing in mind: the world domination by an Islamic Caliphate. Not an uplifting, confidence building scenario unless you are an Islamofacist. Nevertheless, “we” who watch Israel and believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob know that “He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps” and “we” will continue to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” to the God of Heaven and Earth Who hears and answers our prayers. Stay tuned, there will be more. There has to be, until Jesus stands on the Mount of Olives and it splits in half as the Heavenly Host comes to Him in the clouds. “We” say, “come quickly Lord Jesus”!

President Obama and his Islamic women: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Special Assistant to the President Valerie Jarrett in Muslim Dress

Muslim Brotherhood-At Highest Levels in US Government!

At a recent Accuracy In Media conference, Frank J. Gaffney, a highly esteemed expert on foreign affairs was a speaker. “Frank Gaffney as one of two people who addressed the audience twice. Once was on “The Muslim Brotherhood in America,” in which he demonstrated the extent to which that organization, both directly and through American front groups, has penetrated the highest reaches of our government. Emphasis ours. Read the whole thing and watch the two brief imbedded video clips.

An Excellent Spirit has posted on Islamic influence in the Obama White House and State Department.Gaffney confirms this “fifth column” success of the Muslim Brotherhood and others. The question An Excellent Spirit has is with the Libyan Ambassador’s murder and the State Department’s incompetence revealed, the rise of al Qaeda again in the Middle East and Africa, where has Secretary of State Clinton’s top advisor, Huma Abedin, a true daughter of the Muslim Brotherhood gone these days?  Gaffney, in an earlier Jewish World Review article on Abedin had this to say, “Ms. Abedin’s relationship to the Muslim Brotherhood and involvement in policies favorable to its interests warrant close official scrutiny, there are at least six other individuals with Brotherhood ties whose involvement in Obama administration “Muslim outreach” or related policymaking also deserve investigation by the inspectors general and by Congress: Rashad Hussain, special envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dalia Mogahed, an adviser to President Obama, Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Department’s advisory council, Mohamed Magid, a member of the Homeland Security Department’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group, Louay Safi, until recently the credentialing authority for Muslim chaplains in the U.S. military and now a leader of the Brotherhood-dominated Syrian National Council and Kifah Mustapha, a Hamas fundraiser and graduate of the FBI’s “Citizens Academy”

The American people are entitled to know who is shaping the policies that are increasingly empowering, enriching and emboldening the Muslim Brotherhood — an organization sworn to our destruction. Under no circumstances should legitimate and well-grounded congressional requests for formal investigations be deflected, let alone suppressed. We know the Obama Administration is throwing the former First Lady under the bus, but where is the Muslim Brotherhood’s gift to America, Clinton and President Obama? Stay tuned. We will find out and report to our readers.

Enemies Inside the Gate of the White House

An Excellent Spirit has read this Accuracy In Media story on several recent White House guests of the Obama Administration. “On Friday, March 30, 2012, Hisham Y. Altalib visited the White House. According to visitor logs, Altalib was received by Joshua DuBois, the director of President Obama’s Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Four days later, White House officials welcomed a foreign delegation of the radical Sharia-enforcing Muslim Brotherhood from Egypt.The White House meeting with overseas Muslim Brotherhood leaders was reported in April by a few mainstream journalists and questioned loudly by conservative media. But the White House confab in March with U.S.-based Altalib — which appears to be a prep session with the global Muslim Brotherhood’s American advance team — has received no attention until now. Emphasis ours. So, who is Hisham Yahya Altalib? What is his agenda? And why exactly did the Obama administration conduct domestic “faith-based” outreach with this Muslim Brotherhood figure in Virginia, who just happens to be 1) tied to bloody jihad and 2) a major contributor to the left-wing Center for Constitutional Rights, the group of jihadi-sympathizing lawyers who helped spring suspected Benghazi terror plotter Abu Sufian bin Qumu from Gitmo.”

In light of the recent events in Cairo, Benghazi and the violence around the world by Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda sympathizers, it is time that someone held the Obama Administration’s feet to the fire they have ignited by their ignorance, appeasement and apologies the world over. The article continues with further information about Hisham Yahya Atalib, “Altalib is also a founding member of the SAAR Foundation and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). Last year, his online biography proudly notes, he was “awarded the ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) Community Service Award.” The Saudi-subsidized ISNA is regarded as the primary U.S. umbrella group for Muslim Brotherhood fronts and was named specifically by the global MB godfathers as a key player in their “Grand Jihad” strategy of infiltration from within. SAAR was founded in Herndon, Va., in 1983 as part of a radical Islamic charity front for Saudi financiers called the SAFA Group. The feds raided SAAR’s offices in 2002 as part of Operation Green Quest. Investigators confiscated 500 boxes and seven trucks’ worth of documents illuminating the network’s terror ties to the Al Taqwa Bank (a Swiss-based Muslim bank suspected of funding the 9/11 plot) and the Muslim Brotherhood. Emphasis ours.

Here, the plot thickens. “Fast-forward five short years. Qumu is now the lead suspect in the 9/11/12 attack on our U.S. consulate in Benghazi that resulted in the murders of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, consular official Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs/private security contractors Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. In the wake of this month’s terrorist attacks on our Egyptian embassy, Libyan consulate and Afghan air base, the jihad helpers at CCR are stone silent.”

The connections are solid, with no doubt. Add these links to the fact of Huma Abedin, US Secretary of State Clinton’s top advisor and a frequent source of advice for Valerie Jarrett and the President is the daughter of the Muslim Brotherhood’s woman’s division founder and it is apparent that “this administration’s idea of domestic “faith-based outreach” is tea with Muslim Brotherhood community organizers who have embedded themselves in American life for four decades with the express intent of “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.” Meanwhile, our commander in chief is squawking to the world about YouTube videos. The Ikhwan are laughing their bloodstained robes off.” Emphasis ours.

Finally, Brietbart has this story of a US Three Star General saying that the Muslim Brotherhood has penetrated American security in The State and Defense Departments. “U.S. Army Lieutenant General (Ret.) William Jerry Boykin claims that individuals with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood hold security clearances in both the Pentagon and the Department of Defense. Boykin says Republicans should have listened to Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn), who was correct to be concerned over possible Muslim Brotherhood ties of Huma Abedin, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff. Boykin says politicians on both sides of the aisle are scared to pursue the truth on this, for fear of being branded “intolerant,” and the result of their inaction is continued infiltration by the radical Islamic organization. He claims that people with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood hold important positions “in every major federal agency.” Boykin was one of the original members of the Army’s Delta Force, served in clandestine operations for the CIA, and was formerly a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.” Not a good report, no matter what the reason for the outing by the General of his superiors. Americans need to know exactly what is going on. Congress or someone with subpoena power needs to get to the bottom of these allegations and fast. Americans need to know before they vote! How can “we” vote for an Administration that may be guilty of such gross negligence. Or worse, colaberation with those who want to kill us? Stay tuned. There will be more and An Excellent Spirit will bring it to you. Pray for America and for our leaders. God Bless America.

The Muslim Brotherhood- The Force Behind More Than The Violence

An Excellent Spirit has reported on the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama Administration. click here Today, with violence continuing in the world, there are new charges and denials that the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leaders are calling for the release of the “Blind Sheikh” None of the lamestream media reports even mention the Muslim Brotherhood and few the “Blind Sheikh” in jail for life for masterminding the 1983 bombing of the World Trade Center. The Islamist organization prefers to stay well behind the scenes, orchestrating the so-called Arab Spring in order to turn it into an Anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-Christian and anti everything, Islamist Caliphate.

Andrew McCarthy whose recent speech on the Brotherhood has been posted by us says, “So, contrary to what increasingly seems to be popular belief here in Washington, Islamist influences are not benign. They are not something to yawn over. They are something we need to defend against. We are talking about a very determined movement that pulls no punches in braying that it means to destroy our country. The most important sharia authority in the world, Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi — the Muslim Brotherhood’s chief jurist — proclaims that Islam will “conquer America” and “conquer Europe.” Qaradawi is pictured here.

McCarthy tells us more about the Brotherhood’s permeation of our government. He refers, at length to Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aid and frined of the President. “Ms. Abedin “has three family members — her late father, her mother and her brother — connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations.” It turns out, however, that Huma Abedin herself is directly connected to Abdullah Omar Naseef, a major Muslim Brotherhood figure involved in the financing of al-Qaeda. Ms. Abedin worked for a number of years at the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs as assistant editor of its journal. The Institute was founded by Naseef, who remained active in it for decades, overlapping for at least seven years with Ms. Abedin. Naseef was also secretary general of the Muslim World League in Saudi Arabia, perhaps the most significant Muslim Brotherhood organization in the world. Under the auspices of the Muslim World League, he founded the Rabita Trust, which is formally designated as a foreign terrorist organization under American law due to its support of al-Qaeda. That is to say: Before you even start probing the extensive, alarming Brotherhood ties of her family members, Huma Abedin could easily have been disqualified from any significant government position requiring a high security clearance based on her own personal and longstanding connection to Naseef.”

There is more. “A little more background: At the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs, Ms. Abedin was assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs. The journal was the Institute’s main product. It promotes the fundamentalist version of sharia championed by the Muslim Brotherhood, by Abdullah Omar Naseef, and by Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi. Ms. Abedin was assistant editor from 1996 through 2008 — from the time she began working as an intern in the Clinton White House, until the time shortly before she took her current position as Secretary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff.”

An Excellent Spirit understands that there is no way that Americans will ever see or read of the information presented here in the lamestream media. Americans, however, cannot let this pass without doing more. We must ask our President and his Administration to come clean before Election Day. If we do not do our due diligence, we have only ourselves to blame and our children to enslave under the yoke of Sharia and the Muslim Brotherhood. This video asks the President, “Why?” Stay tuned. There will be more.

Middle East Update – Friday September 14, 2012

Violence Spreading Today.This, from  Arutz Sheva 7, reports that violence spread throughout the Middle East today. “Anti-American violence is spreading across the Middle East, with mobs rioting at US missions in Tunisia, Sudan and Morocco. Throughout the Middle East, United States embassies have been warning American citizens to avoid crowded places, and to “remain alert at all times.” Even demonstrations that appear to be peaceful “can turn suddenly violent,” the embassy alert warned citizens living in Arab countries throughout the region.” Read the whole thing. Link  Jerusalem Next Riot” The violence is spreading to Jerusalem. Artuz Sheva also carried these stories today. Link  Riots by Muslims that began on September 11, 2012, have now reached Sudan and even Jerusalem, where demonstrations were held after Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa mosque in the Old City. The protests began peacefully with several hundred people demonstrating on the plaza that holds both the Al-Aqsa and Dome of the Rock mosques, chanting, “With our blood and our soul, we will sacrifice for you our Prophet.” But clashes broke out between a part of the crowd and Israeli police as the demonstration moved out of the Old City, with security forces firing tear gas and stun grenades that injured at least five people, an AFP correspondent said. Several policemen were reportedly hurt. “Israel police are dispersing rioters at Damascus Gate, rocks and stones are being thrown at them,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP. An AFP correspondent at the scene said demonstrators appeared to be trying to head to U.S. diplomatic premises in east Jerusalem, with Israeli police, some on horseback, seeking to prevent the protest from moving. “Anti-American violence is spreading across the Middle East, with mobs rioting at US missions in Tunisia, Sudan and Morocco. Hundreds of protesters rioted outside the U.S. embassy in Tunisia on Wednesday night. Police in the capital of Tunis were forced to fire teargas canisters at the mob when some 300 rioters stormed the American embassy compound. The rioters, however, were pushed back. Up to that point, the demonstration had been relatively peaceful, with demonstrators brandishing black and white Salafi Muslim banners. God And Jerusalem – Thomas Sowell

“Who would have thought that God and Jerusalem would become controversial issues at this year’s Democratic National Convention?” This is the first sentence in Thomas Sowell’s piece today in Townhall. He continues, “A nuclear Iran can do a lot more damage to Israel than the Japanese did to the United States. Moreover, it is well on its way to being able to produce more than the two bombs that were enough to force Japan to surrender in 1945. Israel is in a desperate situation — and there is no way that Barack Obama does not know that.” Emphasis ours. The quote that caught our attention is, “But you don’t need a crystal ball to predict Barack Obama’s hostile attitude toward Israel, despite all of Obama’s lofty words saying the opposite. All you need to know is the man’s ideological history and the long line of ideologues who have helped him shape that ideology. These include Professor Edward Said, spokesman for Palestinian terrorists, under whom Obama studied at Columbia University. Emphasis ours. Professor Sowell is one of the most astute observers of US policy we have. It is truly ominous when he sees trouble ahead. Read the whole thing. (link)

Who Will “They” Blame For This? Since January, 2009, with the inauguration of President Obama, the media and the Administration has blamed everyone but the President and his Administration for every crises, problem and incident we have had. It was and is and always will be the fault of President Bush. The Rich. Wall Street bankers, those who have been bailed out and those who have donated tens of millions to Obama’s campaigns. The Pro-life lobby who have declared a “war on women” despite the fact that women have lost almost a million jobs under this President. The Congress, the Republicans and the USA! USA! patriots that “cling to their guns and Bibles”. An Excellent Spirit asks who will they blame for this mess? Thousands of U of Texas students and North Dakota U students evacuated due to bomb threats; increased Middle East violence in Sudan, Lebanon and Tunisa added to Libya and Egypt. Why can no one in our government do anything but blame someone else, some other party or President. Is there no taking responsibility for “their” record or actions now four years into “their” occupation of the White House? Or can all they do is make sure the media is focused on “them” and jet to Las Vegas for another campaign stop. Read this by Brietbart. This article by Rich Galen in CNS News is right on point. “I went back and read President Obama’s speech in Cairo from July, 2009 – six months after he had taken office and three months before he would receive the Nobel Peace Prize for … The speech (which you can read in its entirety on the Secret Decoder Ring page) is heavy on suggesting that George W. Bush was to blame for the torn relationships between the U.S. and the Muslim world and Obama’s approach would be to treat each nation as an equal. It’s a pretty good speech, for all of that. But there’s one thing: Obama couldn’t give that speech today. Cairo is no longer safe enough for an American President to appear in a public arena. Well done, Mr. President.” Read the whole thing and ask yourself, who is left to blame except the President and his failed foreign policy. And domestic policy (HHH Mandate; Buffet Rule; Solyndra and electric cars) and domestic policy (no jobs, fiscal cliff and taxmageddon). Stay tuned America. It is “our” nation in “their hands.

Update On Crucifixions In The Middle East

An Excellent Spirit has an update on Middle East Crucifixions from World Net Daily: “The Arab Spring takeover of Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood has run amok, with reports from several different media agencies that the radical Muslims have begun crucifying opponents of newly installed President Mohammed Morsi. Middle East media confirm that during a recent rampage, Muslim Brotherhood operatives “crucified those opposing Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi naked on trees in front of the presidential palace while abusing others.”

Why has our “lamestream media” not reported this? Read the whole atrocious thing. And don’t say An Excellent Spirit did not tell you because we did! Days ago.

Update: Israel, Iran & The Muslim Brotherhood

An Excellent Spirit continues with our reports on the prospects for war between Israel and Iran. Today, we post this from Trevor Louden’s site by Terresa Monroe-Hamilton:  “The Muslim Brotherhood, radical Islam and Iran are slouching towards the borders of Israel and are vowing to wipe her from the face of the earth. When psychotic, murdering tyrants speak, the world should listen. Iran is openly calling for a military alliance among Islamic nations to wage war against Israel. Even countries who have long stood against Iran and its apocalyptic intentions are now beginning to join hands and beat the war drums for the end of days.”

On the same site, we see that Republican Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney is being urged to publically address the growing problem that the Muslim Brotherhood presents to peace in the world. Despite the Obama Administration’s close ties with the Brotherhood and its failed foreign policy in banking on the Arab Spring to do what they are unwilling to address, the world gets closer to a war no one but God can win. “(F)ormer federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy on Wednesday offered a virtual indictment of top State Department official Huma Abedin as a security risk and said that Obama’s embrace of the anti-American Muslim Brotherhood constitutes a national security crisis and should be a major campaign issue. McCarthy, who prosecuted the perpetrators of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, said it’s “vitally important” that Romney speak out publicly in support of the five members of Congress asking questions about Muslim Brotherhood influence over U.S. policy. He said Romney should “stand up and be counted.”

PJ Media has published the entire McCarthy policy address. It is long, but absolutely harrowing! “government policy is being radically harmonized with the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood — meaning, policy has shifted in the direction of avowed enemies of the United States” It is well worth slogging through. Take your time, McCarthy is not only armed with the information he had as a prosecutor, but gives a complete rundown on the Brotherhood’s connections to the State Department and the Administration. (Link)

An Excellent Spirit has noted with apprehension the growing threat that the Brotherhood represents to Islamic and non-Islamic peoples. Crucifixion is only one of their tactics! (Link) If these atrocities are not stopped, by The United States, they will not stop! Louden is right, the Barbarians are at the gate! An Excellent Spirit and all Americans want to know: Is the Obama Administration opening the gate and inviting them in? America deserves an answer, before the crucifixion crosses are in our own gates. We join the chorus urging Romney to speak out. Perhaps if these Islamofacists believe Romney might win, they will think twice before they loose more barbarism in the Middle East. An Excellent Spirit agrees that America simply can no longer stick its head in the sand that the US State Department is shoveling over our nation’s foreign foreign policy.

A RBD! Egypt: #foreignolicyfail

An Excellent Spirit posts these stories on Egypt and the US Foreign Policy. They are a Really Big Deal! This one, by Brietbart.com (Big Peace) asks a serious question that no one seems to be answering. “If our government consistently gets something wrong, but then declares that everything is A-OK, how should the rest of us react? Should we ignore clearly visible warning signs, or should we simply continue to trust the Obama administration–and Obamaphilic analysts and journalists?  And if we see a pattern of events that always turns out negatively for American interests, what should we do then?” Read the whole thing. It is long, but for all of us, it provides a reasoned analysis of the issue.

Then we see too many reports of the Muslim Brotherhood “Islamizing” of the Middle East and, in particular, Egypt. We are also reading that America does not seem to care, officially. Why? This, from a Tea Party writer Roger Aronoff might explain: “The Muslim Brotherhood’s sudden ascendancy in the Mideast didn’t happen organically. It was helped……by a U.S. president sympathetic to its interests over those of Israel and his own country.” Read the whole article. His take is quite informed and sensible.

Finally, there are these reports. First of the end of the Camp David Accords from Brietbart Big Peace. “Despite assurances that Egypt would continue to respect all standing international treaties they have signed, today Egypt Independent is reporting Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi wishes to amend the Camp David Accords to “ensure Egypt’s full sovereignty and control over every inch of Sinai.” This is another troubling development for Israel which has had more than its share of surprises from its neighbor to the south over the past week.” This article by Caroline Glick in Jewish World Review completes our ominous Middle East tour.

“Egypt is on the fast track to reinstating its war against Israel and threatening international shipping in the Suez Canal. And as an Islamist state, Egypt will certainly seek to export its Islamic revolution to other countries. No doubt fear of this prospect is what prompted Saudi Arabia to begin showering Egypt with billions of dollars in aid.” “The US’s astounding sanguinity in the face of Morsy’s completion of the Islamization of Egypt is an illustration of everything that is wrong and dangerous about US Middle East policy today.” (Link)

From where we sit, it looks like our foreign policy has taken a back seat to the “class warfare”, “crony capitalism” and stories about who is pushing Grandma over what cliff. To mark this #Fail gives us no comfort. It is not good. We need to pay attention, America. The latest example of the “brotherhood” of Egypt is CRUCIFICTION!  We wish we were kidding, but we are not. Read if for yourself.

An Excellent Spirit as posted all this in the hope that our readers will take the time to read each article. Americans, especially Christians, Jews and Muslim Americans need to know from reliable sources what is happening in the Middle East. How else are we to pray? How else can we decide on who we want to represent America in the troubling days ahead?
